Motorhomes or recreational veh
icles (RVs) are very common in the camping world. Not having to unpack and set up a tent, or take multiple vehicles to the campground is why motor homes have become very popular.
So, you have decided to buy a new motor home, or you are thinking about buying one. But you don’t know exactly what you want. But one thing is for certain, you want a good old American motorhome. I don’t blame you, North America is known for its RV camping and who better to provide you with an RV than the very country that it famous for it?
There are many American motorhome manufacturers, but there is one that really stands out. Of course I am talking about Fleetwood RV, owners of the American Coach motorhome series which includes the American Alleigiance. There are 3 other RVs in this series, but I am only going to focus on the Allegiance in this article. You can find more information about them here.
The American Allegiance motorhome is a luxurious and massive RV perfect for spending months on the road. It boasts a very spacious floor plan made possible by its Liberty chassis which provides you with the strength and structure for an unrivalled ride (the 400 horsepower engine helps too).
The driver’s cabin consists of Flexsteel driver and passenger seats that are covered in rich, supple ultra-leather and an adjustable tilt and telescopic steering wheel with and integrated gauge cluster. The cabin also boasts a larger driver side window for maximum visibility. The dash features an all-in-one system that includes an AM/FM radio, CD player, MP3 port, and rear-view camera. SIRIUS satellite radio with a 6 month subscription is standard and you can add an optional navigation system.
Moving back from the cabin, you enter the living area which is highlighted by two Flexsteel couches on both sides which boast the same leather as the driver and passenger seats. The cabinets are made of solid hardwood and utilize designer style hardware accents. The heart of the living area is the amazing entertainment center. Anchored by an impressive LCD HDTV, this system comes standard with a Samsung home theatre system and satellite dish. You also have an option of adding a 32-inch mid-ship flat panel TV.
The kitchen is also top of the line and comes standard with a Culligan water filtration system. The kitchen area boasts porcelain floors and solid counter-tops with a raised edge to prevent spills from dripping to the floor. In the center of the kitchen, is the double-bowl solid surface galley sink with high-rise faucets. The appliances are top of the line and include a 3-burner stove, convection microwave oven, and 4-door refrigerator. The kitchen has a pantry included and spacious cabinets so storage is not a problem. You also have the option of adding a dishwasher as well.
Finally, at the back of the motorhome is the bedroom and bath area. The bedroom features a large, 30 inch slide-out for more room to walk around the standard queen size and optional king size bed. You also have the option to upgrade to a queen or king SleepNumber bed which allows you to customize the firmness of the mattress on each side. The bedroom also features a Samsung LCD TV with a dvd player and optional satellite receiver exclusively for the bedroom. The bathroom includes a shower with glass doors, skylight, and hand-held shower head.
Of all the American motorhomes, I think Fleetwood RV puts out the best RVs and the American Allegiance really backs this up. For more information, you can visit their site here.
