Rain ponchos are a very popular choice of rainwear for the avid camper or outdoorsman. However, finding a good rain poncho is quite difficult. You could go with a disposable rain poncho, but they are simply not good enough for anything stronger than a light shower. Personally, I stay away from the really cheap rain ponchos.
Then there is the emergency rain poncho. Like the disposable version, these too are simply not good enough. Like the name suggests, they are only for emergencies, not prolonged use. That’s not good if I am camping and it starts to rain.
